Starting in July 2026, Summit Cosmetics Corporation will serve as the sole distributor for the Japanese market, responsible for sales and market development of “PERMETHYL®,” a hydrocarbon for cosmetic use manufactured by INEOS OLIGOMERS (Headquartered in the UK; hereinafter “INEOS”), and the hydrocarbon complex (PRESSAID) developed by PRESPERSE CORPORATION (Headquartered in New Jersey, USA; hereinafter “PRESPERSE”), a group company of Sumitomo Corporation.

PERMETHYL® and PRESSAID were developed in the 1990s when PRESPERSE optimized hydrocarbon materials manufactured by INEOS for cosmetic applications, subsequently registering them as trademarks and commercializing them under their respective brand names. Today, they are widely adopted in countries around the world, including Europe, United States and Asia.
Furthermore, INEOS and Sumitomo Corporation Group have a long history of collaboration as business partners, primarily in the petrochemical sector. Through this initiative, we will leverage the global networks of Sumitomo Corporation Group and PRESPERSE to demonstrate our comprehensive capabilities and vigorously provide more robust product supply and technical services to customers in the Japanese market. We will continue to contribute to our customers’ product development and business growth by proposing high-performance, high-value-added raw materials.
